I wrote somewhere else on SI recently that sovereignty was my number one issue for Canada's military spending and direction. The negotiations are being carried out on orders of folks up north who have more interest in trade than sovereignty. And a minority government to boot. Don't get me going on Canadian politics too!

I have somewhat odd positions for a conservative, I know.

By the way, Natural Gas had a HUGE move up today.

NG was over 16% higher at one point, currently 14.82% higher. Stocks like APA, ECA continue to benefit.

Crude up 1.02% here too...

<<Ottawa has been quietly negotiating a far-reaching military cooperation agreement, which allows the US Military to cross the border and deploy troops anywhere in Canada, in our provinces, as well station American warships in Canadian territorial waters>>

Cool....Canada, the 51st state!

When can we start drafting Canucks and shipping 'em to Iraq, like a proper Imperial power would do?<G>

Should quiet down a lot of the noise we hear from up there!<G>
