So Canada is in effect under the military control of the US, and Canadians live in a state of denial, a tradeoff where Canada contribute less to defense and America has the last word. Canada will defer to the US. Therefore Canada's defense, against the Us, or China, N. Korea, Russia or anyone else, is then only as good as the US military.

I'm not surprised Canadians go out of their way to define themselves as 'not American' when they are closer to being American, in keeping the nation independent, than any other nation (although, as I've said, the country is run like France with resources)
