National sovereignty is an archaic concept which should have been put to rest decades ago. It is indeed the failure of the global system to evolve from the nation-state model developed in the 1648 Peace of Westphalia that has been the proximate cause of untold wars and misery. Nations wage war. War is evil. Getting rid of the silly notion that you have more in common with the fascists in the U.S. military-industrial complex than you do with the average citizen of Beijing, Rome or Copenhagen is nuts. The nation-state model is prone to catastrophic collapses of morality, like we are currently witnessing in the U.S.'s amazingly arrogant and immoral assault on the innocent citizens of Iraq. Hell, the average American citizen has more in common with the victims of U.S. military aggression in Baquaba, Fallujah or Mosul than that citizen does with the executives at Carlyle, General Dynamics or Ratheon. Granted, we Americans aren't getting chopped to pieces by the malevolent daisy-cutters that are hurled so indiscriminately against human flesh in Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever the U.S. wants to terrorize a local population. No, the means of terrorizing the population of the U.S. are much more subtle. What happens here is that if you get out of line, your livelihood is threatened. When you are working, fully 40% of your income is actually being siphoned off (surreptitiously) for the war machine, and the malignant media keeps the average citizen cowering in a corner trapped in a fantasy world of duct tape and plastic sheeting and TV hobgoblins. I am a citizen of the world. I no longer find any sense of camaraderie with the young sadistic butchers who a turning Iraq into a wasteland. You're nuts to think that national sovereignty is the best of all possible solutions. You clearly understand that it is indeed national sovereignty run totally amok that has created the mostrous secret government of the U.S. which is hell-bent of Empire, and was apparently so desirous of this rape-and-plunder model of the world that it even destroyed its own citizens in order to control public opinion. If you don't understand that this is an order of magnitude more malevolent than what is being proposed as sound policy (for the most part) by the CFR, then you don't understand much. *** I speak strongly, because I'm now 100 pages into David Ray Griffin's newest book, "The 9/11 Commission: Omissions and Distortions". interlinkbooks.com It is now abundantly clear that we've been lied to by the government about the events surrounding 9/11. The rogue elements within our government attacked its own citizens in order to further the military goals of a crazed elite. No other conclusion is possible. This is your "National Sovereignty" taken to its most logical, albeit brutal, conclusion. In comparison, the CFR is like mother's milk.
