In my mind the performance of PM equities in a depression [ESPECIALLY the upcoming one which will without a doubt include currency crisis'] have proven themselves. The performance in the 30's have been talked about.

Gold stocks in 87 actually ripped up till the crash, a day in which they outperformed, then sold off sharply and went later sideways as gold moved up AND the rest of the market rebounded.

<for me to stay in physical until I know the stock market in out of the woods.>

I'm sure physical will do fine... BUT if the stock market goes into a long slump as in the 30's you could wait for a long time and miss a lot of soaring PM equities. I don't see how the stock market CAN be out of the woods for a long time to come. Put gold under pillow and don't waste an time on these boards picking equities, that's for sure.
