Wow. At that price point ($29.95), SPA becomes an irresistible Christmas present buy. I am also mainly interested from an investor's pov, but it happened to coincide with my wife's request. I will let you know her reaction when we get it -- 5 to 9 business days I was told. What we really need is for Mossberg or Pogue to like it. Can't buy that kind of advertising.

I like your idea for an inexpensive CF jukebox. Can't quite understand why it would need more than 5 or 6 slots, especially as 8GB CF is now being introduced in readiness of Apple's flash iPod intro. Each of these 8 GB cards would be capable of storing 64,000 photos in the SPA format optimised for TV viewing. Even 5 1GB cards would be capable of storing 40,000 photos, more than enough for most families I would think. But then again, I was surprised at how popular the 40GB iPod would become. And if you are thinking about video, I believe BlueRay will become the medium of choice, as DVD is now.

NHP,

I did find a CF card holder in a neoprene jacket that holds 6 CF and a PCMCIA adapter
by LowePro. It is pretty nice to have, but I still have a lot of loose CF cards around.

Someone mentioned the possibility of a CF jukebox. If you had a bunch of those
single-use CF cards it might be cool to have a USB based CF card reader with
say 50 slots that you could fill up like a slide carousel. Then you could
use that as permanent storage.

As far as SPA is concerned, USB slots capable or reading data form USB drives
should be standard on all TV's, DVD players and LCD projectors.
