these new machines.. are paid for at the local level by taxpayers. My understanding is who wants to pay for these new machines if they feel the ones in their own district work ok. We still use punch cards in my county and doubt anyone would support buying new machines. Those little tables that come out twice a year and with several people counting the votes seems to work for us. Perhaps there is a bigger problem and machines may still not be the answer?
