The perma-political thing can be an asset in determining who is and who isn't ready to commit cyber hari-kari for the mob. Naturally we gravitate to camps that reflect our views. We feel camaraderie with those who hold in esteem the same things we do, we like to be part of a group and politics is one way of expressing that desire. That is why standing your ground in front of a mob that includes your friends is probably the most difficult thing to do.

My main beefs are generally reserved for the corvids, crows especially. When a magpie comes to the bird feeders in my yard it is enveloped by a globe of small birds, none of which will allow the magpie within six feet. They surround him on every side but as soon as he moves, they move, it is like a dance, very pretty but I never set out to feed magpies. A local murder used to roost on our street and my carwash bill almost tripled. Ducks are another prime source of animal frustration, if it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck...
