And they turned out rather well. After all, even I haven't managed to screw up a pumpkin pie (yet). Too bad Gloop didn't take me up on that one. I trust that you are enjoying the leftovers by now? We had a chicken instead of a turkey, so there's not too much left. The bird was raised and executed not 4 miles from here. We basted it in a sauce that included oregano and rosemary taken fresh from our herb garden, mixed with olive oil that was pressed just over the hill from here. We really had to do some wrangling to get the secret recipe for this BBQ sauce from a Portuguese rancher who lives not far from us. Then I learned that another friend of ours wrangled it out of him, too. Not so secret, huh?

Well, now that all of the cooking is over with, and some of the cleaning and some of the eating, maybe it's time again to take a look at our crazy Mr. Market. I've seen what seems to be plenty of exuberance, but there has been very little weakness to accompany it. That's not saying there has been no weakness, just not enough to be alarming. Most of my weekly charts turned south a week ago, and this followed a few days after my VIX reading registered ultra-confidence.
