If he was prevented from using it because he wanted to teach the children how Xtian Godly out forefathers were, there IS a problem doing this in a country with multiple religions, especially where 5th graders are concerned. Purpose has a lot to do with it. I have used the declaration of independence in my class, as well as speeches from the minister Martin Luther King- but you see, I wasn't using them to prove anything about religion, so I'm sure no one had a problem with it. Sometimes, when people aren't allowed to do something, like this, there is a good reason for it.

So no, I am not concerned at all, because I know I can use anything I want in my classroom, as long as I don't use it to teach religion, and that is as it should be.
