The left hates Christianity and Christianity's God. The leftist "Anyone But Bush" mentality is at work here too. To them its "Anything But Christianity," even a gutter, oppressive religion with a debased criminal prophet and a nonexistent heathen god.

It's very easy to understand the left, they're being duped because they're cowards and they're afraid of anything that represents morality... this would explain everything, i.e., their anti God position, gay rights and marriages, "peace at any cost even if it kills us" mantras, and so on... their whole sick agenda is marketable to others just like them because they're unthinking cowards without genuine purpose and direction... so, what more is there to understand?
