"The American public does not believe we are establishing a "fascist empire".......that kind of silly overheated pinhead type rhetoric doesn't advance your cause....its too obviously loony...." What I am going to keep my eye on is what happens next. I think that to most Americans who voted for Bush there was a linkage between 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq. I'm not saying that is necessarily a valid point of view I just think that’s the way a lot of people saw it. Bush's reasons for invading Iraq ultimately may have been nothing more that some sort of "daddy" issue - Saddam being his father's bogey man and all. Still Bush now likely feels that his winning the election has legitimized his war with Iraq. He may be looking for a new war to start as he doesn't seem that interested in things like the economy and he is a “war” President after all.

The results clearly indicate that the majority (all be it a small one) is mindlessly behind a man, who can on rare occasions speak an entire sentence. These same mindless people rail at the thought of gun control, or gay marriage, but have no problem turning over privacy rights to the state. They have no problem mixing church and state. These same people who always cry that the liberal elite are taking their rights away are the very ones supporting a regime that is stomping on the Constitution of this great nation. We deserve better. It amazes me that these people also are so supportive of a war, and claim to be Christians. Do any of you think that Jesus Christ would support this or any war? Remember "Turn the other cheek", "treat your enemy as you would your friend", "Judge not least you be judged" The party of Lincoln has become the party of a right winged Theocracy. I truly fear for the existence of the precious Constitution of this great land. It is indeed under attack by a "President" who listens to no dissenting views, appoints only yes men and women to key posts in the cabinet. Very Napoleonic like. God help the USA. May God forgive the current administration for ignoring the basic tenants of international law and Christian teachings. I feel sorry for all the Christians that have been mislead by this group of hypocrites. We have a VP who tells a Senator to "Go "F" yourself!" in public. A president who uses the Lord's name in vain on a regular basis (on the golf course regularly). This is the biggest actor in the White House since Reagan. The difference is Reagan really believed in what he did . This man believes in his family and not much more. He puts on the right face and does the right things to fool the Christian right. He is false, as false as false can be. He spends more time on vacation than he does in Washington and that might be the only reason we are still a nation. The dollar is plunging as the euro rises as does gold. This will bring inflation into play and the excessive spending on the war and now on a bogus Social Security scam, not to mention the billions in pork spending in the upcoming omnibus bill to keep this phony government running. I fear we are very near the fourth World War and are on the wrong side of the truth. Our economy is about to sink like a stone. All I can say to my grandchildren is that I am sorry for leaving this world in such a huge mess. We tried but somehow dishonesty and ignorance won the day. Keep stuffing your pockets with gold for it is much harder for a rich man to gain entry to heaven than it is for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle. WWJD, no really what would HE do? He would rise up and speak out against this warmongering nation. Against it's sinful ways. He would show anger as was displayed in the temple. Christ is what we need not George W Bush.
