Read this: Positive or negative, you have very little to go on, and imo, we should all refrain from getting personal, and doing so, especially as it is so often done on this thread, is really disgusting I wasn't really talking about you being disgusting- I had in mind some other recent fracas where people went for the person behind the posts, rather than addressing the substance OF the posts. I was disappointed by your post, not disgusted. And I have no idea what your character is. I don't even know how you usually post. I know how I've seen you post here- and that's all I know. Judging by the other posts, I was surprised at your departure from their tone. But you might post like that all over SI- I just don't know.

I'm sorry--I'm really baffled here. I have read several very confusing and convoluted posts about arch-conservatives, as well as your post accusing Ionesco of calling you names, when she did not. I really hope that trying to have some simple rules of conduct is not going to just be yet another reason for a new fight to break out, because that is so silly it makes this thread a big waste of time. By the way, my knowledge may be limited, but arch-conservative is simply descriptive of a particular political viewpoint, not name calling. You know, like liberal, something which I've never seen anyone take offense to.
