Just wait for those Chinese cars to hit US showrooms, selling at 25% under equivalent Japanese and American made cars. They will be a big hit as American buying power is reduced. Cover headline in latest Business Week is "The China Price", and one top story is "How Samsung shot to the top". Oh My Goodness Gracious!, How those Commies have become ultra right wing capitalists!

Capital is needed and private property rights and non-suffocating government and trade. Both China and India threw out the trade/capital baby with the colonial bathwater. They both, belatedly, are figuring out that going it alone, bootstrapping with no bootstraps, let alone boots, is very hard work. Ironically, India, with democracy, voted itself poor for a LOT longer than totalitarian China. Which just goes to show that democracy isn't all good and authoritarianism isn't all bad. Mqurice
