Buy the dips means:
1. In the O/G trusts mode: Don't reinvest the distributions.
Automatically you accumulate cash.
2. In the large E & P company mode: Sell some from time to time.

If we don't do either of these how would we have money to buy the dips?

Personally selling occasionally is too much trouble for me. That's another way of saying that I don't have the brains to time the dips, just enough brains to see the main direction. Result:
I can't buy the dips. I wonder how profitable buying the dips is, after all? I don't mean ex post facto or a posteriori, I mean a priori.

Another factor is how big a spigot they can make from the Iraqi oil fields.
