So Afghanistan is a great success story, eh?

Man! ain't that ever interesting! Tell me more! I suppose you have been to Afghanistan to see things first hand for yourself? But somehow I get a different picture ---- that of an Afghanistan where things are going so poorly for the "Coalition" that there is a sort of "blackout" on news of the Coalition's setbacks there --- much like the blackout on news and photos of bodybags flown back from Iraq.

The fact that an election was completed in Afghanistan does not necessarily mean that everything is hunky-dory for the US there. Many things are often not what they seem to be! Oftentimes the powers that be lie to us big-time and it seems there is no shortage of "useful idiots" who would parrot those lies.

BTW, you remind me of Cheney who once brazenly declared, during his debate with Edwards, that "Iraq was a remarkable success story" when in fact everyone else knows it is a nightmare and a quagmire and worse......!

Oh, the "brazenness" of Repubniks these days is astounding! I suppose Bush would say it is just one of the many ways of spending his "political capital", eh?
