I have no idea why you would continue over several posts an argument you seem to be making that it is a GOOD THING that President Bush does not read newspapers, states this publicly, and is proud to to rely on his inner circle to feed him their slant on the news--sort of like spoon feeding a baby pablum.

In fact, I think that because Bush does not read newspapers, he is even more clueless (if that is possible) about how we are perceived as arrogant AND stupid at the same time around the world.

This is not a partisan criticism. I would be saying exactly the same thing if a Democratic president was that incurious about the world and so thickheaded. In any event, one thing you could do is a brief study of history, in the sense of how many national and international newspapers other presidents got up early every morning to read. I think about five is the average. Then it is possible that you might understand how strange this president's behavior is in this regard, although I somehow doubt you would acknowledge it, because you seem to be involved in a fight that from your point of view is purely partisan, and from my point of view is a complete waste of time.
