Scotland is undergoing a real renaissance food wise. We have amazing food there. And believe it or not- absolutely fabulous strawberries. I got them at Marks and Spencers, and they were luscious.

I don't know which is more authentic -dates or raisins. I bet I had both. Every place had its own sticky toffee pudding and they all tasted different. Even Marks and Spencers had them- in these little black plastic containers, which you heated for 1 minute, inverted, and voila- sticky toffee pudding with sauce (they also had lemon pudding, eve's pudding, chocolate pudding, melting middles chocolate pudding, spotted dick, bramley apple, lemoo crepes (not a pudding), bramley apple crepes, bramely apple tart, lemon tart, berry tart, cream horns, eclairs, cream scones with raspberry jam...

I'm sure I've forgotten something that was in the refrigerated case. But I'm not sure what.
