I am glad you are so comfortable, loyal with/to the likes of DE, JLA,etc... I disagree with almost every political opinion that Dave Ellen and jla have ever posted. I agree with almost every political opinion that you post. But here is the difference: despite my disagreeing with their politics, both of these posters have treated me in a friendly and respectful way. They do not trash me on other threads (as you have, repeatedly) They PM me if they see I haven't posted in a while and inquire about me They have earned my trust over the years with regard to shared personal material. They have defended my character when I have been unfairly attacked. You, on the other hand, consistently depict yourself, your lifestyle, and the area in which you live as somehow above the rest of us, as somehow more enlightened, more spiritual. Your condescension is a hallmark of what is worst about some liberals. It makes those who disagree with you politically dislike you personally. It makes me, as a fellow liberal, cringe. I've tried talking to you about this privately, but you've failed to understand my point. So now when I think you're being particularly sanctimonious, I'll tell you so. Directly. I do not call you names, but I'm honest with you in that I often feel you do "our side" an injustice with the stance you take toward others with whom you disagree.
