Yes, I have Trader Joe's sugar in my cupboard, for sure. I think it is technically called raw evaporated cane juice, or something like that. Trader Joe's owns their own sugar plantation in South America, and do social good with their product as well as their organic ideas.

Historically, Costco has been a difficult place to find vegetarian or organic products, so it's nice to hear they are carrying more. Their produce especially has always been disappointing to me--very expensive, but still covered with pesticides. Great deals on vitamins and toilet paper, though!

Sorry, speaking of vegan and vegetarian food there was a cookbook that I wanted to recommend highly, but forgot to mention when I answered this post the first time.

I really like this cookbook because the food tastes very good, is very healthy, and is quick and easy to prepare using everyday ingredients (like when you get home from work and are pretty harried). Meat eaters would love these recipes, I think--it is just delicious food regardless of what you call it:
