I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here. I will probably not be popular with liberals for saying this, but as I've said before, I do consider abortion a form of murder. I think you should call a spade a spade. I just think sometimes it may be the best resolution of a horrible situation, and women who die from illegal back alley abortions are also victims of violence. I don't think the anti-abortion people really remember what it was like before abortion was legal. It was horrible, except for rich women who have always had access to safe abortions. It is too bad abortion foes don't concentrate more on nonjudgmental sex education (beyond abstinence), plus birth control on demand for everyone, so that unwanted pregnancies are prevented. Infanticide usually refers to the death of an infant who can live on its own outside the mother, so I'm not sure if that is the best term. "I'm also advocating that women who wish to commit infanticide may have other options available to them and counselors and doctors who do not present those other options may be guilty of murder." I agree about absolute full disclosure about other options, although delivered less emphatically if there is rape or incest involved. I don't see how you could say that someone is guilty of murder just by not disclosing information. This seems very illogical. "I'm also advocating that women contemplating infanticide be at the very least shown the risks of the procedure and the risks of some of the drugs used to terminate pregnancy." I agree. "I would never advocate murdering doctors and counselors but if they do not abide by a stringent set of rules they should be subject to the law like any other murderer." It seems implausible that our society will fall back this far into regressive abortion law. I certainly hope not. In my opinion, even though abortion is the murder of a fetus, that is a philosophical position. I don't think health care professionals should be judged in that way. I just think women who are considering abortions should realize that they are taking a life.
