I expect the USA will be able to continue to leverage its experiences so far in Afghanistan and Iraq and continue to develop future forces that will prove even more formidable.

I am certain that our experiences so far have the Russians wondering WTF they did in Afghanistan and it has the mullahs in Iran squirming.

Clearly the Islamofascists have learned to their great dismay that the USA is not the USSR, we wont repeat Vietnam or Somalia.

Marxist Rebels Plotted to Kill Bush
By Molotov

President Bush was targeted for assassination by Colombia's biggest Marxist rebel group last week when he visited the port city of Cartagena, a top Colombian official said yesterday. washingtontimes.com The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, fighting a 40-year guerrilla war against the state, has long accused the United States of backing business interests while ignoring the 60% of the population that lives in poverty. The group has also made many attempts against the life of Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, one of the few conservative South American presidents with strong ties to America. Colombia's economy is expected to grow by 4% this year.

So they want Dick Cheney - who used to head the Defense Department and is more conservative than Dubya - to be president? Until one gets to Secretary Colin Powell (who is fourth in succession), every replacement is more conservative than Dubya. And both Marxist rebels and far-right paramilitaries have links to the cocaine trade.

Why is it so hard for anyone to understand this?

We are - quite literally - fighting them in the streets of Faluja and Baghdad - instead of the streets of New York.
