I know. I believe we need to explore both the carrot and stick. I feel that Israel and the US should both use dynamic approaches to try to isolate extremists. Openly stating that they are willing to negotiate without strings attacked is a first step.

If extremists continue, despite these approaches or while these approaches are started, they should be bombed to smithereens, without the PC niceties that have caused us to be bogged down in Iraq.

The Falujah liberation was a good start. For the first time, we bombed and attacked "mosques" which were holy places in name only. We also levelled entire streets after giving ample time for innocents to leave. These IMO are patterned after successful Israeli tactics.

Also taking out extremist clerics is perhaps another clandestine approach that will work. When the cowardly leaders see that they can also be victims of terrorism, perhaps they will stop sending other people's children to attack innocent civilians.
