I think I saw where the biggest problem with Plasma's is the operating temp. They can get very hot for the circuitry, and LCD's picture loses clarity on the edges. Better to get an unbiased opinion from a magazine like Consumer Reports or even Popular Science. Go to a big retailer and check them out in person for picture quality and temp, etc. But leave your credit cards, debit cards and checkbooks home. :-)
