hey, pal. Thoughts with the families and I hope someone makes it. I don't know the name you mentioned, but hope he is okay. I sure don't like those small planes, especially in any kind of bad weather.

I just returned from the funeral of a soldier that died in Iraq..........a 22 year old Marine.

At the end of the ceremony the Marines gave the Mom a flag, a purple heart and a letter of commendation..................that's all she got in return for the life of her son. I felt so sorry for her as she gazed at the boxed up certificates and the folded up flag..........hardly a substitute for her child.

What a waste!

He was the first soldier from my town that died in Iraq. Many of the residents turned out to support the family.

It was so sad!!
