Dave, sometimes a viewpoint makes no sense to us, it isn't a matter of "refusing" to comprefend what to us is incomprehensible. Sometimes we have to stop and realize someone simply can't, not for lack of trying, wrapped their brain around something that makes perfect sense to us. I run into it all the time with a "certain" <g> issue.

And hunting is something ancient and honorable goes further, imo. Around here up until not long ago there was private property but no one paid much attention unless someone was out of line. People hunted, fished, swam, rode horses, walked, and so forth as they would. Well, others started moving in who didn't care to have anyone walk across their line, much less do other things. A centuries old way of living with each other changed. And it hasn't been easy. as honorable and ancient as hunting might be, it isn't for everyone around here now. The guys who load up on deer and squirrel in their freezer mostly can't afford the hunting clubs here.

And you can't swim in the river anymore. Or in the old Blue Hole. Or ride your horse through the cove unless you stay on the road. Lots of things. And that isn't because of people who don't like hunting.

My question to you... do you comprehend the other point of view? About why someone would feel so strongly about not taking the life of an animal?
