The power and glory of the US acquired over the past 70 years is going downhill. A lot was accomplished with the separation of religion from politics. It is not so any more. The Islamic countries ( a majority of whom are Islamic) have been unable to progress economically in spite of their oil because their religion is interwoven with politics. The Sharia is there for all of us to see. Through their emphasis on their Christian beliefs and intermingling faith with politics, the Christian fundamentalists in the US like their Muslim counterparts are currently taking this nation in the direction of the third World Islamic countries.
