Last time I checked, the Patriot Act was passed by Congress --that would be the House of Representatives and the Senate -- and signed into law by the President. Like it or not, the nation's elected representatives were a part of the creation of the law. If you have a problem with that, maybe you should work for the election of legislators who more closely mirror your views. Oh yes, one other thing, wasn't there an issue about an orchestrated terrorist act on U.S. soil? Oh yes, 9/11. That was what results when you treat Islamofascism as a law enforcement problem, as it was up until 9/11. Lot of good that did.
