Be careful about ebay. Sometimes after you send out payment, you got nothing.

mish,

I've been a long time Viewsonic fan. I own a couple of these (actually the slightly older A90f+ version). Very high quality and a good value.

Often CompUSA will knock them down to 225.

compusa.com

My 19 inch LCD just can't compare. LCD is getting very, very good, but you have to spend big bucks to get a 19 inch that could match the Viewsonic CRT listed above.

NewEgg has it for less, but the shipping on these things negates the savings.

235 to your door for the slightly older E90f+ (I guess the E is an online version and the A's are brick and mortar versions).

newegg.com

Good Luck
TH

While my recommendation is not about the flat panel monitors, I can point to some of the sites I trust more than others. Typically one of the folloiwng has a deal if you are patient enough.

I tend to get good deals at the following sites (you should be prompt with your mail in rebates though)
buy.com
newegg.com
tigerdirect.com (taxes apply in IL as they have a shipping warehouse in Illinois)

As TH mentioned, CompUSA is not bad if you keep an eye out for deals.

Best of all get the Product ID and search on
froogle.com for best possible deals on your product.

I have no bad experiences on ebay so far - but then there are others who seem to be recommending against it :-)

I am using a 18” Dell LCD, pretty good.

Buying monitor on Ebay, check seller’s reference and the volume they sell, majority of them is ok. As for some of their product sells really cheap, that is because they have their own channel of distribution. Keep in mind, those monitors are made in China, or some other places with cheap labor. Some people go there themselves, or have some connection from the local, and buy in quantity at a much lower price, and ship them in, auction them on Ebay. Plenty of sellers on Ebay make a living by auction.
