What a beautiful poem, Poet. Thank you. It takes reading through over again to see the "hardness" of it for me. Hardness is maybe not a good word for it but my vocabulary is lacking today. :) Very beautiful. There is an amazing convent here on the river that I love to visit. I have conflicted thoughts when I am there. But there is something so compelling in the silence and beauty. The nuns are a silent group and the energy pervades the entire place. Your poem captures some of those other emotions that run through, though, when I am there.

Express yourself completely,
then become quiet.
Open yourself to heaven and earth,
and be like the forces of nature:
when the wind blows,
there is only the wind;
when it rains,
there is only rain;
when the clouds pass,
the sun promises to shine.
If you open yourself to insight,
you are at one with insight
and you can use it completely.
Open yourself to heaven and earth,
then trust your natural responses,
and everything will fall into place.
