Performance art is over my head, but I think you might be right. I probably took it all too seriously. And the invasion here, while noticed, mostly escaped my attention as I chose to go into "see no evil, hear no evil" mode. It was all rather ghastly. I never have understood performance art, though. I used to go to the SF school of art with a friend who studied there and people would be "doing" things. She would try to explain what they meant but it was all quite over my head.
