flat LCD or plasma TV is a must have item this year

i looked at them but i think the prices are still way too high (especially for LCD, and the plasmas i do not like due to the ghosting, high energy consumption, and high heat output). i ended up getting a Sony CRT HDTV for 25% of the price of a comparable LCD. i think the picture is still best on CRTs if you have the space.
