I don't think it is really worthwhile to debate abortion. I don't think it ever changes any minds. I guess people who are against abortion being legal will keep working against it, to change the law for everyone, and we will keep working to keep it legal. But all of us could be working to make life better for all children today- by making sure we help out with food kitchens, and help out with reading programs, and volunteer with child abuse hot lines, and hot lines for runaway children- there is a lot to do for children- already born children who are clearly, and obviously suffering, and who could become a threat to society later, if they are not cared for today. I would hope everyone could agree on helping children who are here with us now, and perhaps focus a little more energy in that direction.
