I am trading the 30 yr bond short and the pattern looks pretty bearish imo. Hoping to hold my short for several years if things work out.

If housing crashes you will be lucky to hold it for 3 months IMO

Tolls' reasons make me laugh. Let's face it the real estate market is where it is today because of the 1996 cap gains tax break of up to $500k and like you said, "easy AL".
Might as well throw in the dot com bust that kicked off the last leg.
