I'm looking for new monitor. The monitor will be used for Photoshop CS and MS-Office programs -- therefore, print readability and image quality are requirements.

Price is a consideration -- space/footprint is not. I have concluded that LCD screens, of comparable quality and utility are currently overpriced when the outputs are compared to CRT's. Based upon Mfg's spec sheets, both the Lacie Electron 19" BlueIV Monitor and the 19" NEC Diamond Pro appear to be the best values. I may be missing something here.

I would appreciate opinions contrary to my conclusion. Secondly, does anyone feel that one of the two CRT's units mentioned is better than the other -- or do you suggest another brand or model?
