They may still be recovering from SARS when they initially said the case fatality was 2% and then it kept going up because the people hospitalized kept dying (their calculation assumed everyone diagnosed with SARS would survive if they hadn't died by the time did their calculation). recombinomics.com The real SARS number was 15%.
