America has committed many sins over time. But there is another, redeeming side. Those horrible founding fathers established a stable republic of, by, and for the people. The nation was there to defeat the Nazi and Japanese empires, drove Communism into the ground, has in recent years stopped incipient genocide in the Balkans, overthrown bloody dictators in Afghanistan and Iraq, scared another one straight (Gaddafi), and are fightng and hunting down cut-throats like Osama and al Zarqawi as we speak. Today it is the sole superpower and can one really imagine another country being a more benign one?
