The Democrats' Marketing Mistake
How the Dems insulted the middle-America voters they were trying to court. by Trent Wisecup >>>

I suppose it is safe to talk about it, the Dems are so disorganized at the top they couldn't get three horses moving the same direction in a circus ring.

Many of their problems at election times originate from two attitudes.

No. 1 being to point out the evils of Bush and the Administration in all areas and their own promote their own story that America needs fixing - so vote for Kerry.

And they get careless in voicing those ideas by maligning Ford and Walmart, which most thinking people will recognize as both good and evil- politically neutral, so to say.

Lots of Democrats, in fact a one-time majority, own Fords products and are proud of it .
My brother, who is age 85 and a Democrat in Michigan, has never owned anything but Fords and keeps the largest Thunderbird ever built, the one with the 8' ft hood, parked in his garage.
Black, with double pin stripes , wire wheels, and a Ford jacket to wear which comes with the car when you buy it. It doesn't matter to him whether that car runs or not.

Continual harping on jobs supposedly lost by GWB actions which is an outright lie.
Because the job losses started when Clinton was in charge and Bush was not in a position to implement any changes or stem the losses until many long months after taking office.

Having established that Democrat campaign managers and their candidate were stupid liars who believe the public cannot see through such tactics, they become untrustworthy on the whole, and in the important campaign promises they make.

Problem No 2 is ( but why go on, there are so many more).

It would help them a lot of they came down out of their ivory campus towers and bought a Ford truck to do some shopping at Walmart.
They could park the Ford out of sight inside the garage, and park their foreign made SUV in the driveway. Give away the groceries to the poor. Take a deduction for contributions. Become Americanized.

I considered sending this rant to my brother, or his son, or his grandsons but decided not to do that. No use getting Democratic Ford owners all riled up needlessly.

I was one of those for 45 years until I bought a used Chev van for $400 and my sister gave me a Cad.
