Al Jazeera and the European press is reporting that the US is using using Napalm or a substance similar in Fallujah.

There are reports of civilians burning beyond recognition with a phosphorous like agent that can't be extinguished. Water will not put out the flames. Anyone who touches the substance will start on fire themselves.

Some British citizens are demanding that they pull out all British troops until the US stops using UN banned weapons.

This is beyond embarrassing.

I wonder if Bush will claim that God "told" him to use Napalm in Iraq?

Re: The thing that is bothering me about our current future is that UBL and Al Zawahiri have released tapes real close together. How come they did that?

They probably got a booking special the Hill & Knowlton studios.

I agree with your logic, but note that the three-month deadline Al Qaeda gave Europe a while back came and went several months ago without any further attacks, by my recollection.

Launching an effective terrorist attack in the U.S. is laughably simple (look what the D.C. sniper accomplished), so there are two possibilities:

(1) Al Qaeda is forgoing the easy attacks for something spectacular; or

(2) Al Qaeda lacks the capacity for even simple attacks.

So far to me, it looks like the latter is the case, but we'll find out eventually.
