It was at least 30 years ago when I owned Ampex, so yes it was. They were just recoving from some financial difficulties when I bought in. Their magnetic tape was the brand of choice for reel-to-reel audio and casette recorders. First stock I ever owned was Rexall, as my Uncle Arnold owned the Rexall Pharmacy here in town. He gave me a share when I was a kid. It F/S 2:1 not long before I bought my first car, and I used the money for the downpayment. John :-) .
