The War President
or
Passion and the beliefs of others

Passion for your own belief is what causes you to support the things you think are important and interpret the facts as you do. I think it is passion for the beliefs of others that creates balance.
I agree, it is imprudent to propose war based upon incomplete facts and dubious assertions. If a President did that, perhaps there really was a threat to America that he couldn't articulate but that might well be true. It isn't cut and dried in politics, that is for sure. The election results were very impressive, if Americans weren't truly committed to war before, they are now.

So what do you think about the drubbing that Ralph took in Alberta ?

You mistake my comment- just because I would not be surprised if Iran wanted or had nuclear weapons doesn't mean that I think we should invade them. Nor does it automatically mean that I think any or all measures should be taken to deny them to them.

I'm not a fan of proliferation but I am also not a fan of unilateral invasions of sovereign countries - whether its Iraq invading Kuwait or the US invading Iraq.
