I would suggest yuan related assets which will not suffer from a yuan revaluation (in fact a free trading yuan).

Tom...you can open a bank account for your IRA denominated in Yuan or a number of other currencies though everbank.com

You will probably have to transfer this part of your ira to a different custodian.
