The question is what "getting out of there" will consist of. Will we maintain the large permanent military bases that were the real purpose of this war? I can see the Bush Junta throwing the rest of Iraq to the wolves and simply defending our military bases, which will result in a low-level guerilla war for the indefinite future (in addition to a possible civil war between the shiites and the sunnis).

I was 15 feet from that Mom and I saw her face when the Marine Commander handed her the flag that had draped the coffin of her son. It will haunt me forever!! After that funeral my husband has changed his thoughts on the war..........he was a Bush supporter and pro-war GOP member. He couldn't sleep Sunday night after the funeral. He is changing his tune completely about the war. Every American should attend the funeral of a lost soldier and see the aftermath of what the war means to people who lose loved ones. There's no glory in Old GLory when the lives of these soldiers are lost over the agenda of lies trumped up by a bunch of foolish old men...........non of which have ever fought in a war. Pat
