"First the League of Nations didn't work," Correct: didn't work except was useful as a CONCEPT. "now the UN isn't working.." Well... it's been SERIOUSLY disfunctional for years. Long in need of reform as the world changed around it. "just do away with it." Wouldn't work. Even if the US withdrew from ALL international forums and organizations --- they would just go on without us... and we would be the 'skunk at the party'. The only way the UN will ever be dissolved is if there is a new, better world organization waiting in the wings to take over it's role the very next day. "So how was your Thanksgiving?" Great.
