When I've watched, the one-liners happened in a huge flurry within seconds of the desired post number being hit. Come to think of it, there's a structure problem I'll need to address in the database because I remain convinced that the rare problems we see of multiple posts getting the same intra-thread post number would become a certainty if hundreds of people try to post within seconds of each other. The old system handled such flooding very well. I sure want this one to do the same.
