That is a fair comment. But let me be clear: I did not object that they had nothing to offer, I objected to presenting their conclusions as if they were oracular. If someone wants to quote information or analysis from the body of the report, I have no objection.

Many unknown people get presented as "authorities" here by various war cheerleaders. The warblogger phenomenon has its own local cult. By comparison, I'd say that particular report has a fairly pristine pedigree.

For the most part the reposts of the "warblogger" posts here are not examples of appeals to authority.
