It is happening in SC & OH. Not only vet orgs & churches but schools and about everywhere else. The VA hospitals I'm familiar with are receiving items for ALL vets hospitalized-- there is more AWARENESS now which is great as the needs are great too. Your comment on hitch hiking in uniform-- I once got off the plane at Youngstown Oh and stuck out my thumb looking for the 1st leg of the trip home as no one knew I was coming. I figured 2 - 2 1/2 hours. The 3rd car stopped and the driver took me miles out of his way-- right to my door. There is a lot going on now- mostly positive even if the MSM hates anything positive military. I still think of the amount of BABY WIPES going over! How nice-- but they were not invented during 'my time' in service. I guess we had a different smell back then,,LOL
