They no longer know what they stand for. They know what they fear and what they hate but that is about all. You ban people from your thread who challenge you with ideas because you fear them. You put people on ignore who question your position because you fear them. You run to moderated threads where every divergent thought is censored because you can’t tolerate other views. Second: The left needs a conscience. I was very left wing in the 60s and 70s. I lived in a tee pee in the pacific North West. It was a very cool and mellow time. That was when the left knew what was good and what should be championed. All I hear these days is who you hate. Anything that is associated with the who must be trashed, which is apparently everything and everybody who isn’t tucked away in your censored little universe. Third: Fact is, the majority of the people in the USA don’t get a warm fuzzy thinking about Bush, my self included. I am on record as name calling him a howdy-doody Texan which has meanings on more than one level. I figure he is inarticulate and pretty much being handled by others. ”Jewel you're just one good head banging from becoming a better humanoid. Well one if I administer it. :•) I can dream can't I? Fourth: Yes you can dream all you want. Is that a threat? Anyone who is serious about standing up to me would have to be a stand up man who doesn’t behave in the cowardly manner you have on these threads. If I have misunderstood you, hey, bring it on. There is always the possibility that you are some sort of bully who imagines other people running from a challenge as you do when out matched… uhmmm, If so, you guessed wrong this time. You are welcome to withdraw your threat and apologize. Doubt you can find an honorable way out but, hey, I witness wonders every day, so who knows.”Hey we live on the same planet Jewel. Why are you for Bush? Sioux” Fifth: I am for my conscience which is founded on honorable principles. I, in fact, voted for Ralph. I voted for him not because I thought he would make a good president (he would be awful and had no chance to win). I voted for him because some of the important issues in this election were being passed over by the corporate interests that were in Kerry’s and Bush’s (and your) pockets. He had some good points, you might want to visit his web site and check it out. I also voted for him as a protest to the lack of honor displayed by people who wanted me to support either of the major candidates. I can think of Cyberken, Sylvester80, and a few dozen others as good examples. Sixth: Not all of us are black and white. There are problems with the current administration that are being addressed. This administration will be gone in a few years, it would be nice if we could support the democratic process of change and renewal toward that time. But feel free to keep the hate and destruction going if that is all you’ve got. Keep banning thought and ideas, keep bashing and blaming, keep ranting and raving, keep the negativity going ... or not. Your choice.
