Brokaw going to the Mets,too? Let's scare Claps. I hear (well,I started it) that Bonds is going to the Sox so he can win a series B4 he retires. :-)

Word around Boston is Pedro is going to the Mets. And what a deal... Yeah Peter Gammons made it sound like almost a done deal. I still don't believe it though. The interleague games will certainly be interesting though. Perhaps I won't have to buy my Mets hat just yet... -Yanker

Tonight is Tom Brokaw's last night at the NBC anchor. I always thought I was getting the straight stuff when I listened to him. Yeah, I TIVO'ed it. He was the one who I watched because of what you said. He just seemed more genuine. I also enjoyed when he would appear on Letterman or Imus. He has a good sense of humor and didn't seem much different than the person telling me the news. -Clapper P.S. I saw a rather large buck in my back yard pacing around and sniffing about. Must have had 6-8 points on that hat rack of his. Big as the one I hit with my truck. Anyhow, he wasn't there for eating as I soon discovered the doe he was looking for as she came sprinting by him and shot into the woods as he quickly followed. My hunter-buddies have been hiding out in the woods freezing each morning and here I get trophy sized deer walking right up to me eating breakfast and/or into my vehicles.
