Jay, I'm surprised Hong Kong is so backward. As you say, I don't see a gadget to do WiFi and all your other specified goodies. The Motorola A1000 is close and might have a WiFi port where you can plug in a little WiFi card, but that's a little inconvenient [assuming it has got one].

You should see what they are selling in Korea, Japan and even provincial New Zealand. telecom.co.nz The Harrier has a WiFi slot for a plug-in which would cost me another $100 or so.

I guess you will have to have another round or two in the olde worlde before modernity wends its way to your Hicksville outpost.

I am amazed at how slowly businesses do things. Hong Kong would be a great place to sell super-duper 3G services. There are $billions waiting to be invited to change hands and they would change hands.

PS: Even when you do get 3G, it seems that it'll be in the dopey W-CDMA version rather than the swishy 1xEV-DO manner.
