The other consideration is whether or not the guy is about to get a bunch of shares through options exercise or stock compensation/401K. If somebody had 20,000 shares and was about to get another 20,000, selling 18,000 might not be as ominous.

I spoke to the GG CEO recently at an investor's show and asked him about that since I was concerned. He said that his mother had recently passed away (I think it was his mother...) and he had a mortality moment where he realized his family's wealth was too concentrated in GG stock. He wanted to diversify, which sounds completely reasonable to me.
